What should be paid attention to before the construction of Polyester Geogrid?


1. The construction site of Polyester Geogrid: It is required to be compacted, flat, horizontal, and clear of spikes and protrusions.

2. Polyester Geogrid laying: On a flat and compacted site, the main force direction (longitudinal) of the grid installed and laid should be perpendicular to the axis of the embankment, and the laying should be flat, without wrinkles, and as tight as possible. Fix with bolts and earth and rock weights. The main force direction of the laid grid is preferably full-length without joints. The connection between the webs can be manually tied and overlapped, and the overlap width is not less than 10cm. If the Polyester Geogrid is set at more than two layers, the layers should be staggered. After laying a large area, adjust its straightness as a whole. After filling a layer of soil, before rolling, the grille should be tensioned again manually or with a machine, and the force should be even, so that the grille is in a state of tension and stress in the soil.


What should be paid attention to during the construction of Polyester Geogrid?


1. The choice of Polyester Geogrid packing: Polyester Geogrid packing should be selected according to design requirements. Practice has proved that all can be used as fillers except frozen soil, marsh soil, domestic garbage, chalky soil, and diatomaceous soil. However, the mechanical properties of gravel soil and sand soil are stable and are not affected by water content, so they should be preferred. The particle size of the filler should not be greater than 15cm, and attention should be paid to the control of the filler gradation to ensure the compacted weight.


2. Paving and compaction of Polyester Geogrid filler: When the Polyester Geogrid is laid and positioned, it should be filled and covered in time, and the exposure time should not exceed 48 hours. The flow operation method of laying and backfilling can also be adopted. Pave the filler on both ends first, fix the Polyester Geogrid, and then push it toward the middle. The order of rolling is the two sides first and then the middle. During rolling, the pressure wheel cannot directly contact the reinforcement, and the uncompacted reinforcement is generally not allowed to drive on it, so as to avoid the dislocation of the reinforcement. The sub-layer compaction is 20-30cm. The degree of compaction must meet the design requirements, which is also the key to the success or failure of reinforced soil projects.

Polyester Geogrid Waterproof and Drainage Measures: In reinforced soil engineering, the drainage treatment inside and outside the wall must be done; foot protection must be done to prevent erosion; filtering and drainage measures must be installed in the soil body, and geotextile should be installed when necessary .
